SBFC Stock Summary · July 2026

Management’s message was one of steady growth, improving funding economics, and disciplined risk control despite pockets of stress in the small-ticket lending market. AUM rose 6% sequentially and about 27% for the year to INR 11,922 crores, while PAT increased to INR 130 crores, up 29% year over year, supported by better margins and operating leverage. Spreads widened 39 basis points to 9.4% and NIMs reached 10.6%, helped by lower borrowing costs, broader lender access, and stronger asset-side pricing, with cost of funds down about 90 basis points year over year. At the same time, management acknowledged ongoing weakness in the sub-INR 10 lakh segment, some quarter-to-quarter pressure in delinquencies, and the effect of a regulatory reset in co-origination, though it said the mix has now stabilized. Provisioning was kept conservative at 1.91% of assets, and the company stressed tighter loss absorption and disciplined growth rather than chasing volume. Near term, management said borrowing costs should stabilize, costs should fall further, and guidance for the coming quarter was kept unchanged.
