Who am I buying the gold from?
You are buying gold from SafeGold, our digital gold partner. SafeGold is the retail brand of Digital Gold India Pvt. Ltd. (DGIPL), which is an institutionally backed company, primarily owned by Invent Advisors Pvt. Ltd. The World Gold Council (India) Pvt. Ltd., as well as various other investor funds, hold minority stakes in the company
Where is my gold stored?
The gold that you buy is stored in secure vaults with the global market leader in secure logistics and vault services - Brink’s. The services of Brink’s are utilized by various banks in India and also by various Asset Management Companies (AMCs) for their Gold ETFs
Will I be charged for the storage of my gold?
Your gold will be stored free of cost for up to 5 years, after which you may be charged a yearly nominal fee for the storage of your gold
How do I know my gold is secure?
Brink’s has a comprehensive, global insurance policy that includes the insurance cover on your gold stored in their vaults. Over and above that, SafeGold has an insurance policy to cover gold in transit
How can I modify my SIP amount?
Presently, our platform does not support the direct editing of your SIP amount. Nevertheless, you can follow these steps to adjust your SIP: Cancel the existing SIP on tickertape app & then navigate to your UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe etc) and cancel the existing mandate from the autopay/mandate section. Return to the tickertape app or website to start a new SIP
How does the mandate set-up & daily SIP work?
The mandate will be set higher to avoid SIP transaction failures. The mandate amount represents the max value of transaction possible and not the actual deduction. The actual SIP deductions are as per the amount entered during the buy flow. A higher mandate allows for multiple SIPs, if needed, without the need to create new mandates. For daily SIPs, the first transaction will happen instantaneously but the subsequent daily transactions will begin after 2 business days as the mandate registration process takes time to complete
What happens to my gold in the unlikely event of SafeGold going into liquidation?
The title of the gold clearly rests with you and the physical gold stored with Brink’s on your account is not an asset of SafeGold in any way. Further, SafeGold has appointed an independent trustee who has the authority to act on your behalf and to protect your interests. The trustee also verifies the quantity and purity of gold. Vistra Corporate Services has been appointed as Security Trustee by SafeGold. Vistra has the first and exclusive charge over your gold held in vaults which means it has a charge over the gold over other commercial creditors till the time of fulfillment of delivery to you. Therefore, any unlikely adverse event happening to SafeGold will not affect your right over the gold
How can I sell the gold?
You can sell the gold owned by you by clicking on “Withdraw” under the Gold portfolio section. You can sell any amount of gold starting with a minimum of ₹ 5 to a maximum of the amount of gold owned by you. If you are selling for the first time, you would need to provide your bank account details. Please note that to prevent fraudulent activity and safeguard customers, any gold that is bought or received as gift must be held for 48 hours before it can be sold. The money will be credited within two business days from the sell transaction day
Can I take physical delivery of gold?
Yes, visit www.safegold.com and login/register using the same mobile no. you use for logging in to Tickertape. In the profile dropdown (upper right hand corner), tap on Transaction History. On Transaction History screen, you'll see your Tickertape Gold balance,tap on Transfer option next to it & choose SafeGold as the wallet. Complete OTP verification to transfer gold from Tickertape to SafeGold wallet. Click on Buy Coins in the main menu (at the top) and select your choice of gold coin/bar. Complete the purchase and get your physical gold delivered at your address
What is the purity of gold?
The gold offered is 24 Karat Gold of 99.50% purity
How is the gold gram value calculated?
The gold grams you buy are calculated by dividing the amount paid net of GST by the gold rate and rounded down to 4 decimal places. For example, 0.00054 grams will be rounded down to 0.0005 grams
What is the minimum and maximum amount of gold I can buy?
You can buy a minimum of ₹10 and a maximum of 30 gm of gold. Please note that your gold balance on Tickertape cannot exceed 30gm. This also means that any SIP transaction, which would lead to your gold balance exceeding 30gm, would not go through
Can I start an SIP in grams of gold??
Yes, you can start an SIP in grams of gold. However, the final amount of gold bought in each installment might be slightly different from the SIP amount fixed by you. This is because of the change in gold prices during the time between the deduction of money from your account and the transaction to buy gold
Can I cancel my buy/sell order?
No, you cannot cancel the order once it has been successfully placed on the platform

The invoice for all orders can be found under the Gold portfolio section - Orders tab
What happens to my gold in case of my death?
In case of your death, your legal heir can claim your SafeGold account by showing the proof of identity along with the original/notarized copy of the death certificate and proof that the person is your legal heir
