MONTECARLO Stock Summary · August 2026

Management described a quarter marked by healthy top-line growth but temporary pressure from seasonally high returns and cost inflation. Revenue from operations rose 8% year on year to INR149 crores, while profitability was weighed down by a lean first quarter and about INR50 crores of additional returns that were pulled forward from winter inventory, leaving a net loss of INR23 crores. Management said the return impact was timing-related rather than a sign of weaker underlying demand, and that normalization should come over the next quarter or two as capacity has been expanded, with refinishing output doubled to 10,000 pieces a day. Alongside this, the company highlighted pricing actions, including a 6% to 7% winter increase and another 8% to 10% expected for summer, even as it still expects about 100 basis points of EBITDA margin pressure for the full year. The outlook remained constructive, with FY27 revenue guidance set at low double-digit growth, supported by 40 to 45 new stores, stronger digital and quick-commerce channels, and continued expansion in cotton-led categories.
