M&M has been allotted 8.52 crore equity shares at Rs 194 per share (including a Rs 192 premium), for a total consideration of approximately Rs 1,652 crore. The allotment includes both its rights entitlement and additional shares applied for. Following the transaction, M&M's shareholding in MMFSL has increased from 52.16% to 52.49%. In absolute terms, the company now holds 72.96 crore shares, up from 64.44 crore shares earlier. The rights issue committee of MMFSL approved the allotment of 15.44 crore fully paid-up equity shares of face value Rs 2 each to eligible shareholders and renouncees on 9 June 2025. The shares are expected to be credited to investors' demat accounts as per SEBI's circular dated 11 March 2025. M&M clarified that while MMFSL is a related party by virtue of being a subsidiary, the investment does not fall under related party transaction norms in accordance with SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations. The company added that no other promoter group entities have any interest in MMFSL beyond their existing shareholding. M&M Group enjoys a leadership position in farm equipment, utility vehicles, information technology and financial services in India. It is the world's largest tractor company by volume. It has a strong presence in renewable energy, agriculture, logistics, hospitality and real estate. NIBE has entered into a licensing agreement with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Research & Development Establishment (Engineers), Pune. The agreement covers the transfer of technology (ToT) to manufacture modular bridging systems ranging from 14 to 46 meters in length. The contract is valued at Rs 3.76 crore. Kernex Microsystems (India) announced that its joint venture, the Kernex-KEC Consortium, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth Rs 182.81 crore from Western Railway. Kernex holds a 70% stake in the consortium. Mahindra EPC Irrigation has received an order worth Rs 4.32 crore from the water resources department for allied works related to the implementation of a community micro irrigation project. The Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch electricity derivatives. On a month-on-month basis, Mahindra & Mahindra's (M&M) total auto sales declined 2.11% in May 2025 compared to 85,925 units sold in April 2025. In the utility vehicles segment, the company sold 52,431 vehicles in the domestic market, registering a growth of 21% YoY and overall, 54,819 vehicles, including exports. The company sold 21,392 units of commercial vehicles (LCV+MHCV) in May 2025, down 46.05% from 39,652 units sold in May 2024. Three-wheelers (including electric 3Ws) sales grew 11% YoY to 6,635 units in May 2025. Total exports for the month stood at 3,652 vehicles, registering a growth of 37% on YoY basis. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M, 'In May, we achieved SUV sales of 52,431 units, a growth of 21%, and total vehicle sales of 84,110 units, a 17% growth compared to the same month last year. Thanks to continued demand for our products, we were able to deliver industry-leading growth across our ICE and BEV portfolio. Further, the company's Farm Equipment Sector (FES) announced that its total tractor sales (domestic + exports) during May 2025 were at 40,643 units, up 9.52% from 37,109 units in May 2024. Domestic tractor sales grew by 10.43% to 38,914 units in May 2025, compared to 35,237 units sold in May 2024. Tractor exports fell 8% to 1,729 units in May 2025, compared to 1,872 units during the same period last year. Veejay Nakra, President ' Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, 'We have sold 38914 tractors in the domestic market during May'25, a growth of 10% over last year. Early advancement of above normal Southwest monsoon should bode well for kharif sowing. Land preparation activities are progressing well for paddy sowing. Approval of hike in MSP for Paddy and other kharif crops will bring positive sentiments among farmers. Better reservoir levels, Government announcement of record foodgrain production and introduction of various schemes will help farmers aim higher productivity going forward and in turn augur well for tractor demand.
