IFCI Ltd share price inched up 2.84% to Rs 76.05 after the company's net profit saw a strong growth of 76.95% to Rs 60.27 crore, while revenue from operations plunged by 30.48% to Rs 327.06 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Financial Institution industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 4.73 lakh crore, declining 0.83%. It has softened by 4.18% over last one week and fell by 8.16% in last one month while the market capitalization of IFCI Ltd has improved by 0.20% and 17.13% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of IFCI Ltd stood at Rs 95.93 crore in Q2 FY26, slipping 6.71% year-on-year, and surging by 250.62% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 54 crore, gaining 7.18% YoY and rising 0.50% sequentially. Total expenses saw a steep drop of 40.22% to Rs 262.44 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 0.36 crore, plunging by 26.53% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 74.4 crore, tanking by 39.56% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations posted a slight growth of 1.61% to Rs 2018.52 crore, while net profit jumped 44.62% to Rs 348.61 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA surged by 57365% to Rs 744.04 crore, and PBT dipped slightly 0.25% to Rs 749.03 crore compared to previous TTM. IFCI Ltd rallied 42.92% in last one year, significantly outperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has slipped by 2.56% during the same period.

IFCI drops after Q4 PAT slumps 94% YoY to Rs 13 cr

Profit before exceptional items and tax fell 90.75% to Rs 31.51 crore in Q4 March 2026. Exceptional items stood at Rs 4.15 crore during the quarter. Total expenses surged 482.44% to Rs 439.04 crore in Q4 FY26, compared with Rs 75.38 crore in Q4 FY25. Fees and commission expenses stood at Rs 27.88 crore (up 16.17% YoY), employee benefit expenses stood at Rs 123.10 crore (up 16.94% YoY) while finance cost was at Rs 102.15 crore (down 23.96% YoY) On a yearly basis, the company's consolidated net profit increased 5.75% to Rs 180.87 crore despite 2.49% increase in revenue from operations to Rs 2,068.84 crore in FY26 over FY25. IFCI is a Systemically Important Non-Deposit taking Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC-ND-SI) in the public sector. IFCI has six subsidiaries and one associate under its fold. IFCI jumps after NSE appoints merchant bankers for proposed IPO

IFCI has indirect exposure to the exchange through its 52.86% stake in Stock Holding Corporation of India, which holds a 4.44% stake in NSE. The National Stock Exchange said the selection of intermediaries for the IPO was conducted through a structured and competitive process approved by its IPO Committee. The merchant bankers appointed include Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, JM Financial, Axis Capital, ICICI Securities, SBI Capital Markets, Nuvama Wealth Management, Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors, Avendus Capital, Morgan Stanley India Company, Citigroup Global Markets India, J.P. Morgan India, HSBC Securities and Capital Markets (India), IDBI Capital Markets & Securities, 360 ONE WAM, Anand Rathi Advisors, DAM Capital Advisors, Pantomath Capital Advisors and Equirus Capital, among others. The exchange has also appointed eight law firms, including Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Khaitan & Co, Latham & Watkins, Sidley Austin Singapore, AZB & Partners, S&R Associates, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Trilegal, to assist with the proposed offering.
