BOROLTD Stock Summary · May 2026

Resilient top‑line growth masked near‑term margin pressure, with FY26 revenue at INR 1,195.9 crore (up 8% year‑on‑year) while operating EBITDA margin contracted to 15.1% from 16.3%. Management struck a pragmatic tone, emphasizing restoration of supply and compliance for vacuum‑insulated Hydra products—attributing roughly an INR 100 crore hit in FY26 to that disruption—and prioritizing a newly approved INR 65 crore in‑house flask facility to regain market share, alongside product innovation, Make‑in‑India positioning and anti‑dumping measures on borosilicate glass. They acknowledged compounded margin headwinds from sharply higher gas and downstream energy‑related costs and a one‑off appliance inventory build tied to BIS/QCO, even as glass and opalware segments showed healthy demand and strong utilization. Capital allocation will focus on targeted projects rather than broad greenfield expansion, with FY27 capex guided around INR 110 crore while maintaining a conservative funding stance and using operating cash to limit leverage. Near term, management expects new flask lines and a solar project coming online in early FY27 to begin stabilizing margins over a 6–12 month period, with inventories normalizing thereafter.

Borosil operations impacted due to LPG supply disruption

Borosil has received a communication from Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) regarding the restriction of supply of LPG due to a force majeure situation arising from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and its consequent impact on global fuel supply. In view of the above,  the production activities at the Company's Borosilicate Glass Furnace for Pressware Products and its Opal Glass Furnaces, all located at Jaipur, Rajasthan, have been impacted. While production at the Borosilicate Glass Furnace has been temporarily suspended, the Opal Glass Furnaces have been operating at lower capacities. The Company is actively coordinating with OMCs and the relevant government authorities to secure the supply of LPG, which is essential for production, to ensure continuity of production activities to the extent feasible. We are evaluating the impact arising from the ongoing disruption in the supply of LPG. The Company is actively monitoring the situation and will continue to update the stock exchanges with any material developments in this regard.Powered by Capital Market - Live

Borosil surges as board clears two key proposals

The company's board has approved the proposal to set up a new manufacturing facility at Bharuch, Gujarat, for the manufacturing of glassware products, with commercial production expected to commence by December 2026, subject to necessary approvals. The project entails an estimated capital expenditure of Rs 42 crore. The company has been sourcing various glassware products from Borosil Scientific (BSL)'s Bharuch Plant, including storage jars, glass bottles, and glass jugs. These product categories are witnessing strong and growing market demand. In order to cater to the increasing market demand, it is proposed to establish a new manufacturing facility at Bharuch, Gujarat, with dedicated mass production lines. Separately, the company's board also approved an expansion of Borosilicate Glass Furnace capacity for Pressware Products from 25 tonnes per day (TPD) to 32 TPD at its Rajasthan facility. The expansion project will involve the addition of a third forming line aligned with the furnace rebuild cycle scheduled for January 2028. The project will require an estimated investment of Rs 50 crore (including contingency due to cost escalation and scope changes, if any). The proposed capacity expansion is expected to support the company's growth strategy. It is expected to remove current capacity bottlenecks, enable new product development and product diversification with portfolio expansion, improve furnace utilization and operating efficiency and low cost of production with cost competitiveness. Borosil is a supplier of laboratory glassware, microwaveable kitchenware, and opal ware in India. On a consolidated basis, the company's net profit declined 32.5% to Rs 23.95 crore on 0.2% rise in net sales to Rs 338.75 crore in Q3 FY26 over Q3 FY25.Powered by Capital Market - Live
