PPAP Stock Summary · August 2026

Management described a strong start to FY27, with revenue up 34.1% year on year to INR156.4 crores and EBITDA up 33.3% to INR12.4 crores, driven by higher volumes, better capacity use and operating leverage. The tone was constructive on demand, with passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, commercial vehicles and three-wheelers all strong, exports delivering the best first quarter ever, and aftermarket and industrial products also showing traction through broader distribution, new applications and overseas sales. At the same time, management acknowledged pressure points that kept the story balanced: raw material inflation of about 4% had only been half passed through so far, and the battery business remained a concern because of inflation, pricing pressure and shorter delivery timelines, even though some improvement is expected from Q2. Strategically, the company focused on restructuring and simplification through the divestment of a joint venture stake, the planned hiving off of tooling into a wholly owned subsidiary in Q3 FY27, and a more unified Ajay Group structure. Near term, management pointed to capex concentrated on EPDM and tooling, with customer discussions on pricing continuing into Q2 and early Q3.
