NTPC Green rises after arm bags 500 MW solar power project from SECI

The company said that the letter of award (LOA) from SECI is awaited. NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has emerged as a successful bidder in the e-reverse auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the development of 2000 MW ISTSconnected Solar PV Power Projects. The auction, held on 9 December 2024, also includes the establishment of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) with a total capacity of 1000 MW/4000 MWh. As per the terms of the tender, the company is required to set up an energy storage system (ESS) of 250 MW/1000 MWh along with the contracted solar capacity. Shares of NTPC Green Energy were listed on the bourses on 27 November 2024. The scrip was listed at Rs 111.60, exhibiting a premium of 3.33% to the issue price. NTPC Green Energy (NGEL), promoted by 'Maharatna' central public sector enterprise NTPC, is the largest renewable energy (excluding hydro) public sector enterprise in terms of operating capacity as of September 30, 2024. Vraj Iron and Steel has received consent to operate the company expansion project of sponge iron and power plant located in Chhattisgarh from the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board. HG Infra Engineering has received a letter of acceptance worth Rs 763 crore from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The project involves the improvement and upgradation of a two-lane road with paved shoulders configuration for the newly declared NH227B, Bahuvan Madar Majha to Jagarnathpur, in Uttar Pradesh under Hybrid Annuity Mode (Package VI). Reliance Infrastructure has incorporated Reliance EV Go as wholly owned subsidiary of arm Reliance Velocity to manufacture, buy and sell electronic vehicles. Asian Granito India has entered into a joint venture (JV) agreement with Shudh Investments and Klyn Stone of the UK to acquire shares of Klyn AGL. Hinduja Global Solutions's step-down wholly owned subsidiary, HGS CX Technologies Inc. board has approved to merge its five wholly owned US subsidiaries with itself. NTPC Green Energy IPO gains on debut

The scrip was listed at Rs 111.60, exhibiting a premium of 3.33% to the issue price. So far, the stock has hit a high of 119.90 and a low of 111.60. On the BSE, over 125.44 lakh shares of the company were traded in the counter so far. The initial public offer (IPO) of NTPC Green Energy was subscribed 2.42 times. The issue opened for bidding on 19 November 2024, and it closed on 22 November 2024. The price band of the IPO was fixed between Rs 102 and 108 per share. The public issue comprised a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 10,000 crore. Of the net proceeds from the fresh issue, Rs 7,500 crore was towards investment in NTPC Renewable Energy (NREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, for repayment or prepayment, in full or in part of certain outstanding borrowings availed by NREL, and the balance is for general corporate purposes. Ahead of the IPO, NTPC Green Energy on Monday, 18 November 2024, raised Rs 3,959.99 crore from anchor investors. The board allotted 36.66 crore shares at Rs 108 each to 107 anchor investors. NTPC Green Energy (NGEL), promoted by 'Maharatna' central public sector enterprise NTPC, is the largest renewable energy (excluding hydro) public sector enterprise in terms of operating capacity as of September 30, 2024. Operational capacity of the company as of 30 September 2024 was 3320 MW across 6 states. As of September 30, 2024, it had 17 offtakers across 41 solar projects and 11 wind projects. It defines offtakers as parties with whom it has megawatts operating, contracted, or awarded (signed PPA or from whom it has received a LoA). The firm reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 176.65 crore and net sales of Rs 1,082.29 crore for the six months ended on 30 September 2024.Powered by Capital Market - Live
