KPEL Stock Summary · August 2026

Management described a quarter of very strong growth tempered by clear execution and margin pressures, with consolidated total income rising 126% year on year to Rs. 520.97 crore and revenue crossing Rs. 500 crore for the first time. They said the business scaled materially on the back of infrastructure development, supported by O&M and power sales, while remaining profitable despite a difficult operating backdrop. At the same time, gross margin compressed sequentially as project economics, mix, stage of execution and a challenging West Asia environment raised procurement, freight, logistics and manpower costs; management stressed that Q1 should not be treated as the benchmark for near-term margins and declined to give firm net margin guidance. They also pointed to grid connectivity, right-of-way pressures and curtailment as execution constraints, while saying they are being selective on new orders to protect margin quality. The order book stood at about 2.16 GW valued at over Rs. 2,250 crore, and FY27 top-line growth guidance was lowered to 30%–40%, with Q2 expected to be seasonally softer even as milestone-based execution can still support revenue.
