CUMMINSIND Stock Summary · June 2026
Strong FY26 performance, led by double‑digit top‑line growth and outsized profit gains, was the dominant message: consolidated sales rose to INR 11,950 crore (up 18% YoY) while profit before tax before exceptional items reached INR 3,104 crore (up 24% YoY). Management struck a constructive, execution‑focused tone, highlighting volume‑led domestic strength and a strategic emphasis on distribution and aftermarket solution selling, plant modernization and higher per‑line output, and targeted localization to support data‑center demand. At the same time they acknowledged clear tensions: near‑term margin pressure from broad commodity inflation and lagged price pass‑through on previously booked orders, lengthening lead times for high‑horsepower imports and supplier constraints, and only ~70% combined capacity utilization driving focus on line upgrades rather than large greenfield spends. Data centers now represent roughly 30–35% of domestic power‑generation revenue with about INR 250 crore of hyperscaler revenue in the quarter, and management said inquiries have notably picked up since October. Near term they expect continued small‑scale capex and modernization, active supply‑chain monitoring, and a phased price recovery.
