PLATIND Stock Summary · August 2026
Management framed the quarter as a transition period, with revenue and profits under pressure while the company expanded capacity and built out its manufacturing base. Consolidated revenue was about INR 108.9 crore in Q1 FY27 versus INR 115.4 crore a year earlier, while profit before tax was roughly INR 15 crore and profit after tax about INR 11.1 crore, reflecting a weaker mix and higher depreciation from the enlarged asset base. Even so, standalone revenue grew about 7.3%, and management emphasized that the expanded Palghar facility is now operational, adding about 60,000 tonnes per annum and improving the platform for premium non-lead additives and CPVC. The tone remained cautiously optimistic, with priorities centered on utilization, product mix, operating efficiency, working capital discipline and prudent capital allocation. Management said CPVC margins are around 18% and should move toward 20% to 21% by the third or fourth quarter as demand improves, supply disruptions ease and PVC demand recovers from August. FY27 revenue growth guidance of roughly 30% to 40% was reiterated, while Egypt was described as more meaningful in FY28 than FY27.
