Management’s message was one of early improvement in profitability, but with demand still soft and the strategic reset still underway. Q1 FY27 revenue rose 10% year on year to INR232 crores, while EBITDA increased to INR7 crores and margin improved to about 3%, alongside PAT of INR3 crores, reflecting tighter execution and cost control. At the same time, revenue was lower sequentially because of normal swings in volumes, mix, and activity, and management said the market remains sluggish, with near-term growth expected to stay broadly flat. The company is shifting from conventional extrusion toward a higher value-added aluminium conversion model, using an integrated platform across foundry, extrusion, anodizing, and machining, and it said underutilised downstream assets still offer room to lift mix and margins. Exports, still about 45% of manufacturing revenue, remain pressured by duties, shipping disruptions, and sharply higher freight costs, while input-cost increases are being passed through gradually. Management also outlined disciplined capital spending of about INR166 crores over three years, with no debt planned, and said the new tubing project is expected to ramp next year.
