Bharti Airtel’s Rs. 21,000 cr rights issue opened on 5th October 2021 and will close on 21st October 2021. The issue size has been set at “up to 39,22,87,662 Rights Equity shares”, as stated by the company. 

According to Bharti Airtel, the rights issue price is Rs. 535 per fully paid-up equity share, including a face value of Rs. 5 and a premium of Rs. 530 per equity share. On the record date, the rights entitlement ratio is one equity share for every 14 equity shares held by eligible shareholders

As per IIFL Securities, the partially paid rights issuance is an excellent approach to go long by reducing capital allocation. The company’s party paid share is deep in money Call Option. The company has emerged from a decade-long consolidation, as mentioned in a CNBC-TV18 report.
