Va Tech Wabag to partner in proposed dedicated platform for capital projects in Municipal sector

Va Tech Wabag (WABAG) announced the signing of non-binding term sheet for a dedicated platform (Municipal Platform) to focus on the development of Capital Projects for the Municipal Sector. The Municipal Platform will commit equity investment of up to USD 100 million in capital projects over a 3 to 5 years period. The Municipal Platform will be established in collaboration with an Investor Consortium including Norfund and two other international investors, Norfund is the Norwegian Government's investment fund dedicated to supporting sustainable development. WABAG will play a pivotal role in the platform as the Technical Partner, delivering EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and O&M (Operations and Maintenance) services. WABAG will also make a minority investment in the platform, consistent with its Asset-Light Strategy. The proposed platform will focus on leveraging the combined expertise and resources of WABAG and its partners to address the growing demand for advanced water treatment technologies and infrastructure. By uniting capabilities, the platform will target key opportunities in municipal sector, supporting sustainable water management and contributing to economic development. The term-sheet outlines the framework for collaboration and represents an important step toward formalizing the partnership to accelerate the delivery of transformative projects in key regions. The establishment of this platform reflects WABAG's ongoing dedication to maintaining its core focus on the water sector and fostering growth through strategic financial partnerships. VA Tech Wabag rises after bagging orders worth Rs 360 crore from GAIL, IOCL

The company has been awarded a design, build, operate (DBO) contract for GAIL's integrated petrochemical complex at Pata, Uttar Pradesh. This project includes a 450 cum/hr UF & RO based effluent recycle plant, an evaporator-based zero liquid discharge (ZLD) plant, and a new wastewater treatment plant, along with the augmentation of an existing plant. The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phase of this order is scheduled for completion within 24 months, followed by 6 months of operation and maintenance (O&M). Additionally, VA Tech Wabag secured a Rs 20 crore repeat operations & maintenance (O&M) order from IOCL for the tertiary treatment reverse osmosis (TTRO) plant at IOCL's Panipat Refinery in Haryana. This contract extends their O&M services for another three years. VA Tech Wabag has been responsible for the O&M of this plant since its commissioning in 2006. Notably, this TTRO plant, designed, constructed, and commissioned by Wabag nearly two decades ago, was the first industrial water recycle plant in the oil and gas sector in India. Va Tech Wabag secured an order worth Rs 340 crore towards Design, Build, Operate (DBO) of a 450 cum/hr UF & RO based Effluent Recycle Plant, Evaporator based Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant and new Waste Water Treatment Plant & augmentation of existing Waste Water Treatment Plant, for GAIL (India)'s (GAIL) integrated petrochemical complex at Pata, Uttar Pradesh. WABAG also secured a repeat Operations & Maintenance (O&M) order from Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) worth Rs 20 crore towards O&M of the Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant at IOCL Panipat Refinery, Haryana for a further period of 3 years. WABAG has been entrusted with the O&M of this Plant since its commissioning in 2006. It is worth noting that this TTRO Plant was designed, constructed and commissioned by WABAG nearly two decades ago and is the first Industrial Water Recycle Plant in Oil & Gas sector in the Country. VA TECH WABAG soars after bagging contract worth Rs 3,251 crore in Saudi Arabia

The scope of the project involves engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a 200 MLD independent sewage treatment plant (ISTP), including connections to outfall delivery facilities. This ISTP is being developed by a consortium of Miahona Company (lead), Marafiq, and N.V. Besix S.A. for its off-taker, the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC). SWPC is the principal off-taker for water and wastewater projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The EPC consortium for this project comprises of WABAG and Mutlaq Al-Ghowairi Contracting Company (MGC). WABAG as the technology partner and leader of the EPC consortium will design and build the 200 MLD independent sewage treatment plant, while MGC will undertake the scope of laying the transmission pipelines and construction of the reservoirs.
