Adani Energy rises after Q3 PAT jumps 79% YoY to Rs 625 cr

Revenue from operations jumped 27.78% YoY to Rs 5,830.26 crore in Q3 FY25. The company's net profit was higher by 79.55% YoY due to reversal of net deferred tax liability of Rs 185 crore mainly due to divestment of Dahanu plant in AEML Profit before tax (PBT) increased 8.69% YoY to Rs 559.37 crore during the quarter. Operating EBITDA rose 8.6% to Rs 1,579 crore during the quarter as compared with Rs 1,454 crore in corresponding quarter last year. On the segmental front, the operational revenue from transmission business stood at Rs 1,189 crore, (up 12.6%YoY) and the revenue from distribution business was at Rs 2,973 crore (up 16.2%YoY) during the period under review. Under transmission business, on operational parameters, it was a strong quarter, with an average system availability of over 99.7%. Robust line availability resulted in an incentive income of Rs 33 crore in Q3FY25. Energy demand (units sold) in Adani Electricity Mumbai in Q3FY25 ended 3% higher YoY to 2,574 million units. Kandarp Patel, CEO, Adani Energy Solutions, said, 'The key highlight of this quarter is the new project wins in AESL, which not only helps in gaining market share but also strengthens AESL's pole position as the largest private transmission player in India. The power demand trends in both utilities are encouraging and we are making progress with the installation of smart meters in all our contracts with daily average installation consistently improving. We are confident that despite a large order book of Rs 54,761 crore in transmission and approximately Rs 13,600 crore in smart metering, the company will continue to deliver strong operating and financial performance, thanks to unparallel project and operating excellence coupled with robust capital management program.' Adani Energy Solutions bags Rs 25,000 cr Bhadla-Fatehpur HVDC Project

Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) has won the prestigious ~Rs 25,000 crore Bhadla (Rajasthan)- Fatehpur (Uttar Pradesh) HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) order. It is AESL's largest order win till date, taking its under execution order book to Rs 54,761 crore and transmission network to 25,778 ckm and 84,186 MVA transformation capacity. AESL won the project under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism and REC Power Development & Consultancy (RECPDCL) was the bid process coordinator. The project SPV got formally transferred to AESL on 20 January  2025. Called 'Transmission system for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part I', the project includes establishment of 6,000 MW HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) system between Bhadla to Fatehpur (~2400 ckm) along with 7500 MVA transmission capacity. The project will help evacuate 6 GW renewable energy from various REZs in Rajasthan beyond Bhadla-III to demand centers of North India and to the national grid. AESL won the project under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism and REC Power Development & Consultancy (RECPDCL) was the bid process coordinator. The project SPV got formally transferred to AESL on 20 January 2025. The project includes establishment of 6,000 MW HVDC system between Bhadla to Fatehpur (around 2400 ckm) along with 7500 MVA transmission capacity. The project will help evacuate 6 GW renewable energy from various REZs in Rajasthan beyond Bhadla-III to demand centers of North India and to the national grid. AESL will deliver the project in 4.5 years. The company's under execution order book stands at approximately Rs 54,761 crore and it will have 25,778 ckm of transmission lines and 84,186 MVA of transformation capacity. Adani Energy gains after inking SPA to acquire Superheights Infraspace for Rs 475 cr

SIPL is incorporated in India and registered with the Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 5 July 2021 with an object for carrying out Infrastructure development activities. SIPL holds development rights of land admeasuring 3,000 square meters situated at Bandra Kurla Complex ('BKC'). According to the regulatory filing, the company has executed share purchase agreement (SPA) on 17 January 2025. The main purpose of acquisition is to set up 220kv Extra High-Voltage (EHV) substation. SIPL holds development rights of land admeasuring 3,000 square meters situated at Bandra Kurla Complex ('BKC') and AEML is developing 220kv Extra High-Voltage (EHV) substation on said land under the regulatory approvals. The acquisition cost is an aggregate consideration of Rs 475 crore, determined based on an independent valuation report. The transaction is expected to be completed within fifteen working days from the execution date of the share purchase agreement (SPA). APPL is an entity under common control. The transaction will be done at arms' length basis and consideration is determined on basis of Independent Valuation Report. The official announcement was made on 17 January 2025 after market hours.
