the Digital India Programme to smoothly deliver essential public utility services to Indian citizens. CSCs are also known as Digital Seva Kendra. These are developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the CSC Digital Seva Portal,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Citizens can avail various G2C, Business to Business (B2B), and Business to Consumer (B2C) services<\/li><li>Citizens can apply for various certificates and access government services<\/li><li>Individuals, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tickertape.in\/blog\/international-students-day-2021-investing-lessons-to-learn-from-students\/\">students<\/a> can apply for different schemes and exams<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Objectives-of-the-CSC-Scheme\"><\/span>Objectives of the CSC Scheme<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following are the objectives of CSC Digital Seva:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Establish a self-sustaining network of CSC centres in 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats of India.<\/li><li>Deliver a large bouquet of G2C e-services through a single platform.<\/li><li>Promote the government\u2019s social and welfare programs.<\/li><li>Offer services to private sectors as well.<\/li><li>Increase the sustainability of Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) by sharing the maximum commission with them.<\/li><li>Create new rural employment and encourage rural entrepreneurship and women\u2019s participation as VLE.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Registering-for-CSC\"><\/span>Registering for CSC<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The CSC Digital Seva scheme is implemented in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework. This means that you can register yourself under CSC and open a portal in your region if there isn\u2019t one. You need to meet certain criteria to register for the portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Structure-of-the-CSC-Scheme\"><\/span>Structure of the CSC Scheme<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Public Private Partnership (PPP) model is based on a 3-tier structure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>The State Designed Authority (SDA) is responsible for managing and implementing CSC services across the state.<\/li><li>The Service Center Agency (SCA) is responsible for setting up the CSC and deciding their locations. They have an important role in promoting CSCs in rural areas. They can carry out various promotion campaigns at the state or local level.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) is the CSC portal operator.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The VLE operates the CSC portal. The aim is to have at least one CSC portal in each gram panchayat. At the state level, the responsibility of hiring and managing the VLE is with private companies called SCA. The qualifications to become a VLE are kept minimal to encourage participation. The higher the participation, the greater will be the success of the scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Types-of-Digital-Seva-Kendra-registrations\"><\/span>Types of Digital Seva Kendra registrations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Common Service Centre (CSC) \u2013 Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE)<\/li><li>Self-Help Group (SHG)<\/li><li>Rural Development Department (RDD)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Eligibility-criteria-for-CSC-Digital-Seva-registration\"><\/span>Eligibility criteria for CSC Digital Seva registration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the process to register for a Digital Service Centre is entirely free, you must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>You must be a local in the region where you wish to open a CSC, i.e. a resident of the region.<\/li><li>You must be at least 18 yrs old.<\/li><li>You should have completed a Telecentre Entrepreneur Course (TEC) in order to register as a VLE.<\/li><li>You must have completed at least class 10.<\/li><li>You should have an email ID and a valid mobile number.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Documents-required-for-registration\"><\/span>Documents required for registration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Residence proof<\/li><li>Bank account details<\/li><li>A valid mobile number<\/li><li>Picture of the CSC centre<\/li><li>Passport-sized photographs<\/li><li>Document proofs such as Aadhar card and PAN card copy<\/li><li>Certificate and class 10 mark sheet from a recognised board<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to register under a Self-Help Group (SHG), you must have a registration code stating your selection as an SHG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Prerequisites-to-open-a-CSC-Digital-Seva-Portal\"><\/span>Prerequisites to open a CSC Digital Seva Portal<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals are allowed to open a CSC portal if they tick off the following conditions along with the eligibility criteria mentioned above:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>You must own a space that is easily accessible to the public.<\/li><li>KIOSK services must be available to the public from 8 AM to 8 PM.<\/li><li>End-user services for all individuals must be delivered by the centre.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The person in charge of the centre must ensure that services are delivered effectively. In order to do so, the following is required:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Two or more computers \u2013 Licensed Operating System, 1 GB RAM, 500 GB Hard Disc, and other specifications&nbsp;<\/li><li>Printer<\/li><li>Digital camera<\/li><li>Webcam<\/li><li>Scanner<\/li><li>Registration for CSC Seva Portal&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To register on CSC Digital Seva Portal, you must fulfil the eligibility criteria, document list, and basic requirements, such as a computer system with proper internet connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How-to-register-for-CSC\"><\/span>How to register for CSC?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 1: Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/csc.gov.in\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CSC\u2019s official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 2: Click on CSC registration. You will be redirected to https:\/\/www.register.csc.gov.in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 3: Click on \u2018Click here to Register\u2019 under the \u2018VLE registration\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 4: Select your application type. If you are an individual, select \u2018CSC VLE\u2019. Otherwise, choose one of the other options that apply. Enter your TEC Certificate Number. You can apply for the certificate from the same portal. Enter your mobile number, email, and captcha code. Then, select \u2018Submit\u2019. Complete the OTP verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 5: On this page, fill in your name, date of birth, gender, location type (rural or urban), authentication type (OTP, fingerprint, etc.), and captcha. Then, click on \u2018Submit\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 6: In the thorough application form, enter your personal details, location details (longitude and latitude using a map), banking details, your address, submit your photo, etc., carefully. Make sure to read the terms and conditions and re-check all the information you have filled in before you click on \u2018Submit\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 7: After submitting, you will be given an \u2018Application form reference ID\u2019. Write it down or save it in your system for later reference in the application process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After completing the above steps, you will receive an acknowledgement mail on your registered email address. The application is forwarded to the nearest District Manager of CSC for online verification. However, in some cases, they may visit your centre\u2019s location and then approve it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Adding-an-operator-to-CSC-registration\"><\/span>Adding an operator to CSC registration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also register yourself for CSC by adding yourself as an operator. This is a shorter way. To do this, you will have to register as an operator with an individual who already has an ID and password for CSC. With the below-mentioned simple steps, you can check the status of your CSC Digital Seva Portal application:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 1: Go to https:\/\/register.csc.gov.in\/register\/status<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 2: Enter the Application Reference ID that you received in your email after completing the registration process.
