The shares considered for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tickertape.in\/blog\/stock-split\/\">stock split<\/a> have a face value of Rs. 5 each. On the same day, the board of directors will also consider and approve the unaudited financial results for the Q2 FY 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the announcement, Bajaj Finserv&#8217;s stock price surged over 4% to Rs. 13,181 apiece on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tickertape.in\/stocks\/bse-BSEL?checklist=basic&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BSE<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bajaj Finserv will inform the board of directors&#8217; decision to the stock exchanges on the same day. The aforesaid proposals are also subject to the approval of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tickertape.in\/blog\/shareholders\/\">shareholders<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A stock split means an outstanding equity share is split to increase the total number of shares issued. While this reduces the market price of each share, it doesn\u2019t alter a company&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tickertape.in\/blog\/market-capitalization\/\">market capitalisation<\/a>. A stock split is usually done to make a company\u2019s stock more affordable for investors, thus increasing liquidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tickertape.in\/blog\/bonus-shares\/\">Bonus shares<\/a>, in contrast, are fully paid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tickertape.in\/blog\/what-are-equity-shares-meaning-types-features-limitations-and-more\/\">equity shares<\/a> issued by a company.
